ipOH.!

it's been awhile since i last dropped by ipoh..

perhaps it was during my one month sem break back in december last year..

and today i get the chance to go down there again.

purpose: go to JPJ to check out the latest number for my dearest bro..

he's so into 8! =D

but on our way there..

the car's aircond broke down..

so, it was a hot and sweaty journey to the city..!

luckily, dad got it mend soon after we left JPJ..

and i kinda spotted an "aeroplane" outside jusco ipoh..

it's a fake wan.

owned by a restaurant, i think.

had our late lunch at WONG KOK Restaurant..

my first time there.

helped my parents to order.

mom kept repeating she want fried rice and iced lemon tea..

while i was trying a suitable food and drink for me and my dad..

MOM's iced lemon green tea - which is full of ice..

and it kinda make all of us laugh!~ ϡ

dad's wintermelon tea drink..

he wanna show that the size off the cup is as big as his grip..

dad's lunch - forgotten the name..

and my spaghetti with some mushroom and three blackpepper sausage cocktails..

the sauce is kinda tasteless..

didnt get to take a picture of mom's fried rice..

as she straight away start eating as soon as her dish come..

we were not offered sliced chilli or sambal..

so mom waved at the waiter - only two waiters are working at this restaurant..

mom: can you bring some sambal?

waiter looks blur..

mom: lak-qiu (cantonese for chilli)

dad: chilli sauce

me finding a word to interpret what my mom wants into mandarin but not a word came into my mind..

and the whole situation get awkward..

but luckily the waiter managed to bring chilli sauce and some chilli paste or sambal i guest over..

then i asked my mom: you know what ipoh people speak in? cantonesE!~
