cellulitis?

in and out of the hospital clinic - klinik kesihatan twice just within 24 hours..-.-"

FIRST:-

went with my aunt around 8 something at night..

my right foot was swollen..

only one doctor was available that time..

and it's a female doctor.. - a nice lady.

she asked me if it was an insect bite..

i said i was not sure as i happened to notice my swollen foot after my aunt told me..

so she gave me some pills and a cream..

doxycycline,prolase,painkiller and panadol..

panadol is the substituition for the painkiller if it doesnt work..

while the cream is for the itchiness - not for my swollen foot..

she told me to come again 5 days later..

the weird thing is i have to chew prolase..

first time came across a medicine that needs me to chew only..

SECOND:-

went with my dad around 10 am in the morning..

my dad also want to see doctor for his leg..

we visited the same doctor - a male doctor..

i showed him my swollen leg..

he then said it's CELLULITIS.

the word made me blur..maybe it's got something to do with the cell - i thought.

i then enquired him about the medicine that i got last night..

and he explained to me what's the purpose of doxycycline and prolase..

he said doxcycline is not a strong antibiotic so he sugested me to buy cloxacillin in the pharmacy instead..

he also asked me to eat both the anitbiotics together..

after that i asked him about my neck..

and he gave me a cream..

he said that i should rest for a few days..

next it was my father's turn..

he asked my dad to undergo an xray..

we went out of the room..

i then confiscated my dad handphone as i knew we were not allowed to have handphones beside us when we are taking xray..

went to take my cream while my dad had to go upstairs to undergo xray..
rejoined my dad at the doctor's room..

the moment i went in, the doctor asked me if the man - my father sitting there is my father..

i said yes..with a question mark on my head.

he then said my father should undergo an operation his leg..

and that he got arthritis..

i quickly take the xray on my dad's hand and took out the film..

the doctor showed me the part were the two bones are touching each other..

he said that it shouldnt be so..

kind of starting too get worried i too asked my dad to go for operation..

i knew that after operation he has to rest for quite a long time - 6 months at most/least..

but he should!

the doctor also said that my dad it still young in the medical field and that he should go for it..

we then went to icare pharmacy to buy my medicine..

the pharmacist told me that i have to take it 4 times a days!

i was kind of dumbfounded as for the doxcycline i only have to take once a day..
