to and fro trip to PENANG

well i'm finally back from penang, the pearl of the orient..

it's a to and fro trip..

this trip includes me,my dad,my mum,my aunt and my mum's fren..

our motive is to visit my brother who'll be moving into a new house besides relaxing ourselves..

we started our journey as early as 12.30pm..

on the way to the penang island through the north-south express way [plus], we dropped by nibong tebal for a lunch at NT CHENG KEE RESTAURANT [nt stands for nibong tebal]..

d dishes there were kind of large..

i got to call one of my favourite dish tht can only be found in penang so far and that is "tu bo sui"!`

"tu bo sui" is kind of like a small octopus or squid..if i'm not mistaken.

very few of us know how to eat this dish..

according to my dad, dey used to sell this in the wet market last time but due to lack of permintaan dey no longer sell dem["tu bo sui"]..

one of the latest restaurant in nibong tebal..

it took us an hour or two to wait until the food arrived..

after having lunch,we continued our journey to the island..

there's a heavy traffic soon after we reached the penang bridge tol plaza..

and we're stucked in the traffic for merely an hour or more..

my bro at first planned wanna meet us at queensbay mall but minutes after that he called and asked us to meet at gurney plaza..

while on our way to the shopping complex, we were kind of got ourselves confused with the penang road system..

but we managed to find our way anyway..

we drove into the basement carpark,but din manage to find any parking place..

however,we found one after the 5th round of moving around the two basement levels to find a parking place..phew!~

i thought my bro was at the gurney plaza ad..

but he was actually stucked inside a traffic jam when i called him.lolz!

we walked around and happened to saw an apple fair..

not the fruit apple but it's the company apple!

they were having an auction on their electronic items tht time..

and most of d last bidder auct for RM1000 and higher..

wow!

after the auction section, the host invited Steve Yap[a Pensonic ambassador] out to promote Pleo - a moving dinosaur toy..

i din manage to get a closer look of him but if i'm not mistaken he's one of the actor for ntv7 latest show : Welcome Home, My Love..

after we met bro in front of sushi king,he brought us down to the ground floor to check out the restaurants..

he brought his girlfriend along too..

i suggested THE MANHATTAN'S FISH MARKET as i never heard of this restaurant before..

so we went in..

my bro made d desicion on what to order..

so while he was ordering i manage to take a couple of pics of the place..

d food we ordered costs us nearly RM 243!

one of the food tht we ordered is a salad which has small pieces of bread,lettuce,eggs and also tomatoes..

erm,i'm not sure what is the name of the salad..

but i felt very weird after eating them [esp the taste of mayonaise]

d pasta was nice and i really love it..

finally our last stop is at my brother's apartment that's shared with his girlfriend.

it's still under renovation..

and der's dis one building [ i think it's 4-storey high] dat looks so nice..

like a mansion..

according to wj [my bro's gf] the mansion belongs to a very rich guy who sells 'colok' and it's for his first and second wives..

whoa!~

but i din take a pic of tht coz i scared they will spotted form far..haha!
